PATTERN for Festivities Socks - Pattern only.
This pattern is a pdf file.
The pattern includes charts for fun party bunting, for 2 different sizes of sweaters on a clothesline, and for 2 different size socks on a clothesline.
The bunting charts are included for three different stitch counts. Sock charts are included for multiple sizes. Sweater charts are for one stitch count only, but size can be adjusted by changing your gauge.
As with most colourwork, you can adjust the fit by adjusting the gauge (by going up or down in needle size) and you can go up to sport or DK weight yarn on a larger needle, if desired, for a larger foot size.
In my sample, I used plain white undyed fingering weight yarn for the background. Bunting, heels, toes, and cuffs were all done with leftover bits and pieces of brightly coloured yarn scraps. Roughly 2 grams of yarn per bunting row. For the socks and sweaters pair, I used a mini skein set called Pumpkin Pie Spice from Hawari Bazaar Yarn Co.
A 100g skein of background should suffice for just about any size (I used less than 50g).
